About me
Person behind the pixels
Behind every interface I design is a lens shaped by stories, systems, and small moments of wonder. This page is a glimpse into the quirks, questions, and quiet obsessions that shape how I show up—in work and in life.
I’m Mehul Varshney, a UX generalist—grounded, curious, and drawn to games, metaphors, well-timed humor, and how the universe works—from cosmology to quiet patterns. I believe clarity is a form of care. My work is shaped by systems, but also by stories, playful interactions, and quiet moments. I approach design like a conversation: layered, empathetic, and always open to surprise. I value resonance over noise, warmth over polish, and the kind of simplicity that invites depth.
As a UX generalist, I design with both structure and feeling in mind—balancing the big picture with the subtle cues that guide users. I look for the logic behind hesitation, the pause before a click, and the real-world use case that anchors design in context. My work spans flows, language, and structure, but the questions stay constant: Does this feel human? Does this feel clear?
I focus on making things clear and simple—so users feel confident, connected, and understood. I collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders, always balancing user needs with business goals. My working knowledge of foundational front-end lets me design with feasibility in mind—bridging intention and implementation to create experiences that are not just intuitive, but buildable.
What Grounds Me
They’re the habits I’ve led with especially when things get messy or meaningful they’re how I navigate complexity, build trust, and stay true to what matters, in work and in life.
What Grounds My Work
I design with clarity, scale, and resonance in mind so products not only perform, but connect. Whether it’s shaping inclusive flows, aligning with business goals, or building systems that last, I focus on what makes experiences meaningful for users and sustainable for teams.
My Quiet Joys
These are the quiet things that make me feel most like myself. Stargazing. A well-timed metaphor. The way anime captures emotion. Long conversations that wander. I’m drawn to cosmic mysteries, human quirks, and the kind of joy that doesn’t need to be loud to be real.
Anime, Fantasy & Other Realms
Some of my favorite stories live in anime where fierce battles pulse with meaning, characters grow through quiet moments, and a line stays with me for years. From intense shonen arcs to quiet slice-of-life moments, from surreal fantasy realms to emotionally rich coming-of-age journeys it’s where I go to laugh too hard, cry unexpectedly, and remember that even animated worlds can feel more real than reality sometimes.
Casual Gaming
From triple jumps in Mario, Contra, and Ninja Turtles on PS2 and early PCs, to dropping nukes in Call of Duty, Shadow Fight, and Need for Speed on mobile and desktop- games have always been more than play. They’ve shaped how I explore, react, strategize, and find my own peace. Whether it’s fast reflexes, thoughtful choices, or simply drifting through another world, they’re my nostalgic escape and quiet rebellion against routine.
Time, Space & Everything Between
I’ve always been drawn to the quiet mysteries—black holes, time loops, cosmic expansion, and the strange elegance of quantum theory. Shows like Cosmos and The Theory of Everything didn’t just inform me—they stirred something deeper. I explore phenomena not just to understand the universe, but to ask why things are the way they are. From multiverse theories to the paradoxes of time, I find wonder in the questions that don’t have easy answers.
Music Always Playing in the Back
nostalgia in Mukesh’s melodies, and fire in Linkin Park and Skillet. The Script, OneRepublic, and American Authors echo stories I’ve lived, while Score and Neffex fuel focus, rebellion, and drive.
Whether it’s reflection or release, music meets me where words fall short—tuning emotion, setting rhythm, and stitching moments into melody.
Snapshots from My Journey
Design meets, random strolls, unexpected smiles—this carousel’s a mix of everything that made me say, “I’m glad I was there.”
